E&P: Bipartisan Energy Legislation Highlights Benefits Of Carbon Capture

„The Utilizing Significant Emissions with Innovative Technologies Act, or USE IT Act (S. 2602), sponsored by Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) aims to encourage carbon capture, utilization and sequestration (CCUS) projects that lower emissions and to improve the permitting process for CO₂ capture and infrastructure projects. As part of the effort, technology prizes would also be awarded to selected projects that capture more than 10,000 tons of CO₂ annually and can be deployed for less than $200 per ton of CO₂ captured.“
