Job: Research Assistant/ Research Associate in Climate Repair (Fixed Term) (University of Cambridge)
Deadline: 5. November 2021
„An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Assistant/Research Associate at the University of Cambridge to study new strategies for ocean carbon drawdown. The successful applicant will join the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics and the Centre for Climate Repair in Cambridge under the primary supervision of Dr John Taylor from 1 January 2022 or by negotiation […] The successful applicant will develop a numerical model for the coupled interactions between ocean physics, biogeochemistry, and kelp (macroalgae). The overall aim of the project is to quantify the potential for carbon dioxide removal (CDR) and sequestration through ocean reforestation and to identify potential impacts on biogeochemical cycles and natural primary production and carbon export.“
