Session at AGU: B046 – Science-based Carbon Removal Strategies, Monitoring, Measurements, Reporting and Verification across Terrestrial, Atmospheric, Oceanic and Societal Dimensions

At the 2022 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting, a session will organised on CDR strategies. The conveners welcome presentations on nature- and/or technology-based research and approaches that could inform innovative and timely strategies for multi-agency (U.S. government) collaborations and partnerships with the non-federal sector (e.g., foundations, industries, universities, states). The focus should be on the scientific basis for carbon monitoring, measurements, reporting and verification (MMRV) for effective and efficient CDR strategies with embedded societal considerations. The conference will be held in person in Chicago, US, as well as online from 12 to 16 December 2022.

The abstract submission deadline is 3 August 2022 (23:59 EDT/03:59 +1 GMT).
