Second Annual Carbon Dioxide Removal Law & Policy conference
online on September 27/28 organized by Northwestern University, USA
This year’s conference theme will be „The Role of Domestic Law and Policy in Regulating and Facilitating Carbon Dioxide Removal“. The organizing team wants to bring together members of the governmental, non-governmental, private and academic sectors to enhance understanding of the current status of domestic regulation of CDR, and areas where additional interventions may be helpful to both facilitate CDR and ensure that it is conducted in a safe and equitable manner. The conference will also discuss the role of public engagement and environmental justice in scrutinizing CDR options and ensuring that carbon dioxide removal research and deployment is operationalized in a way that comports with principles of inclusion and justice.
