California Plans $1 Billion Carbon Capture and Storage Project

„California is taking a significant step in its fight against climate change by investing in the removal of millions of tons of carbon dioxide from the air by 2045. Calpine, one of the largest energy producers in the country, is planning to build a $1 billion carbon capture and storage (CCS) project on a gas-fired power plant near Yuba City, north of Sacramento. This would be the first facility of its kind in the United States.“
