Project: GeoEngineering and Negative Emissions pathways in Europe (University of Surrey)

„This project aims to investigate social legitimatization processes and deployment pathways of an effective supply chain. To do that, public attitudes, sentiments and discourses related to innovation will be analysed based a stakeholder survey instruments, focus groups, and social media data across Europe. For example, we will assess public options and perceptions (or misperceptions) of performance, risk, cost, and other factors. It will also collect information from relevant supply chain stakeholders, seeking to hurdles that need to be overcome and levers that can be exploited to successfully deploy these technologies. The results will allow us to develop strong evidence base for understanding and explaining the attitudes of different groups towards GeoEngineering and Negative Emissions innovation pathways.“
