Our info portal is dedicated to the topic of Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) from the atmosphere. This website features a global news stream that provides scientists, stakeholders, journalists and the interested public with up-to-date information on current issues, debates, ideas, and events related to CO2 removal. We also present ongoing and completed CDR projects here. Thus, this website supports the CO2 removal dialogue, which is important in the climate policy debate.
The website is currently operated by the BMBF-funded research missions CDRterra and CDRmare, which conduct research on terrestrial and marine CDR methods. It was initiated by the Department of Biogeochemical Modeling at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel.
